KIEV , Dec. 2 – The World Bank has decided to temporarily withdraw $220 million from the loan portfolio of the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor).

According to the agency, this was announced during the final meeting with representatives of the World Bank mission on December 2.

According to World Bank Country Director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Satu Kahkonen, a partial cancellation of funding is a temporary forced step as the World Bank money now is not moving fast enough, thus burdening the country economically, and frees up no space to support new projects.
