KIEV, March 28 ??“ Azerbaijan will seek to join a project of building a pipeline that would move Central Asian and Middle Eastern natural gas to Europe bypassing Russia, an Azeri official said Tuesday.

Azerbaijan??™s involvement is important as it has natural gas fields offshore the Caspian Sea, but the country is also vital for linking the pipeline with Turkmenistan and Iran, two major gas sources.
