KIEV, Nov. 18 - The Ukrainian embassy to the United States is working to arrange President Petro Poroshenko's visit to the U.S. as soon as possible, Ukrainian Ambassador in Washington Valeriy Chaly said, adding the visit may take place in February 2017.
"It's hard to imagine visits right after January 20, right after the inauguration, and therefore I have accepted the assignment from the Foreign Ministry and from Bankova Street [the presidential office] voiced in Kyiv," Chaly said. "We'll try to arrange a visit as soon as possible, if we can do it in February, this would also be a great victory for us," the ambassador said at a Skype briefing in Kyiv on Friday.
