KIEV, Nov. 9 – Kiev needs to start establishing relations with potential key members of Donald Trump's administration during the transition period before the formation of the new administration, diplomat, MP from the Batkivschyna parliamentary faction and chairman of the parliament committee for human rights, national minorities and multicultural relations Hryhoriy Nemyria said.
Nemyria worked vice prime minister for European integration in 2007-2010.
"Obviously, from a practical point of view, the transition period until the formation of a new administration has already begun... As early as now relations [should be] established, communication with potential key members of the administration of the future president Trump [should be developed]," Nemyria told Interfax-Ukraine in a comment on Wednesday.
