KIEV, Nov. 8 – The National Bank of Ukraine has started the second phase of implementing the BankID project and seeks to finish it in 2018, said Valeriy Maiboroda head of the strategy management and banking sector reform projects and programs at the NBU.
"The NBU finished the first phase of the implementation of the BankID project. It envisages the use of the identification system for administrative services. The central bank has switched to the second phase foreseeing its use for bank operations. The NBU intends to finish the second phase in 2018," he said at a press conference in Kiev on Tuesday.
