KIEV, Nov. 8 - Consumer prices in Ukraine in October rose by 2.8% compared with the previous month and since the beginning of the year by 9.4%, the State Statistics Service reported.
In annual terms inflation in October jumped to 12.4% from 7.9% in September, due to a deflation of 1.3% in October last year because of adjustments in gas prices.
The government and the National Bank of Ukraine forecast a slowdown in inflation to around 12% with the growth of the economy being about 1.1% in 2016.
