KIEV, Nov 7 – Financing of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will increase by five times in 2017, Head of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Iryna Friz.

"In 2017, the financing of military units of SOF on military equipment will be increased by five times. At the same time, in parallel with the centralized procurement, commanders of SOF gained the right to make procurements on their own. These changes will improve the efficiency, quality of procurements, and establish a clear responsibility for the violations regarding power abuse while performing their duties," Friz said on her Facebook page on Friday.
