KIEV, Nov. 1 - The loss of operating banks in Ukraine in January through September 2016 totaled UAH 11.6 billion, which is 77.3% down year-over-year, the National Bank of Ukraine reported on its website.

The NBU explained that the loss fell thanks to the decline in payments to reserves for active transactions by 58.6% to UAH 37.5 billion. The central bank said that payments to reserves remain the important factor influencing the loss of the entire system.
