KIEV, Oct. 7 – The banking system will post a profit in 2017, according to Vitaliy Vavryschuk, director of the financial stability department of the National Bank of Ukraine.

"We are almost completely confident that in 2017 the banking sector will work with profits in general," he said at a briefing on Thursday.

Vavryschuk recalled that from May through August 2016 the banking system saw profit three months out of four – in July the system posted an almost break-even figure.
