KIEV, Sept. 29 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny has accumulated foreign currency to buy natural gas in advance and will not create additional demand on the currency market this autumn, National Bank of Ukraine Governor Valeriya Gontareva said.

"Despite stereotypes about the traditional autumn devaluation of the hryvnia, this year the situation differs from the previous years. Usually in autumn Naftogaz Ukrayiny bought currency to pay for natural gas. This time the holding bought currency in advance. Naftogaz this autumn would not create additional demand on currency," she said at Ukrainian Financial Forum of ICU Investment Group in Odessa on Thursday.
