HORLIVKA, March 21 ??“ The Environment Ministry approved the first project on utilizing methane gas at Zasiadko, Ukraine??™s largest coal mine, in the Donetsk region under the terms of the Kyoto Protocol, the ministry said.

The will run until 2012 and is expected to reduce air pollution with methane gas by 3.8 million metric tones making the project the biggest of its kind in the world.
