KIEV, Sept. 23 – Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and Foreign Minister of Sweden Margot Wallstrom at a meeting in New York on September 22 discussed the development of bilateral relations, as well as the importance of maintaining the sanctions against Russia and facilitating of the work of the Special OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine.
"During the meeting the sides discussed issues of development of bilateral political dialogue, in particular, the organization of bilateral high-level visits on the eve of the next meeting of the EU Council of Foreign Ministers in the autumn of this year ... Wallstrom noted the importance of maintaining the sanctions regime against the Russian Federation, increasing their efficiency and also facilitating the work of the OSCE mission in Ukraine in the context of monitoring the implementation of the Minsk agreements," according to the statement of the Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs released on Friday.
