KIEV, Sept. 21 – President Petro Poroshenko has held a meeting with U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden at the 71st session of the UN General Assembly.

"The interlocutors discussed the situation in Donbas and the implementation of the Minsk agreement," the Ukrainian president's press service reported.

Poroshenko thanked the United States for strengthening sanctions against Russia. The two officials agreed to intensify diplomatic efforts to end the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
