KIEV, Sept. 19 – Politics has prevailed in a decision of the International Monetary Fund to provide a new loan tranche to Ukraine, head of the Board of the global network Transparency International Jose Carlos Ugaz said.
"If the decision to resume payments was based on the normal loan conditions, the outcome would have been an obvious no… But politics has prevailed and Ukraine will be given another lifeline," he wrote in his blog entitled "Does Ukraine merit a new handout?" Transparency International said in its press release.
