KIEV. Sept 15 – Russia's introduction of restrictions on transit of goods from the territory of Ukraine via Russia to third countries from the beginning of 2016 has led to the reduction in exports of Ukrainian goods to Central Asia and the Caucasus by 35.1%, in particular to Kazakhstan by 45.5%, according to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade's report regarding filing a lawsuit to the WTO against Russia.
"In general, the losses of exports of goods to Kazakhstan (annual) and Kyrgyzstan (for the second half of the year) are estimated at about $400 million that will generate additional GDP losses of 0.3%," the Ukrainian ministry said.
