KIEV, March 17 ??“ A Ukrainian coal mine plans to start a project of methane gas extraction by the end of the year to sell unused assigned emission rights and to boost gas output.

The project, at Gorskaya-2 coal mine in the Luhansk region, is likely to become a showcase for a number of similar projects in the region, according to the Coal Industry Ministry.
