KIEV, Sept. 13 – The Individuals Deposit Guarantee Fund has asked Ukraine's Finance Ministry for an additional UAH 7.9 billion financing, the press service of the fund told Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.

"Today the fund has the money to settle current payments to depositors of insolvent banks. However, if the number of insolvent banks increases by the end of the year, the fund could face a shortage of funds. The fund requests an additional financing of UAH 7.9 billion to the Finance Ministry of Ukraine," a spokesman said.
