KIEV, Aug. 30 – Ukraine's operating banks posted UAH 9.3 billion in net loss for the period of January-July 2016, which was 70% down from the same period of 2015 (UAH 30.2 billion), the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

The NBU did not provide information about the entire banking system together with reports about insolvent banks.

The central bank says that the bank's financial results before payments to form reserves and tax transfers shrank by 60% in the current year compared to the previous one, to UAH 13.09 billion.
