KIEV, Aug. 29 – President Petro Poroshenko has announced the appointment of Kharkiv regional governor Ihor Rainin as head of the Presidential Administration.

"I made a decision to appoint Ihor Levovych Rainin as head of the presidential administration," Poroshenko said when opening a meeting of the National Reform Council on Monday.

Later the president said he will sign relevant decree after a government meeting on Monday.

Rainin, 43, graduated from the Kharkiv Aviation Institute in 1997, where he studied engine and power systems for spacecraft, with a degree in mechanical engineering.
