KIEV, Aug. 29 – United States military representatives have handed the first five Burtek B4731 medical evacuation vehicles to the Ukrainian military at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center.
The ceremony was attended by Ukraine's acting health minister Ulana Suprun and the head of the National Ground Force Academy, Lieut. Gen. Pavlo Tkachuk, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said on its website. The U.S. was represented by the Commander of the U.S. Army in Europe, Lieut. Gen. Ben Hodges and the head of Regional Health Command Europe, Brig. Gen. Dennis LeMaster.
In all, the U.S. is planning to supply 40 such vehicles to Ukraine.
