KIEV, Aug. 12 – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said that resumption of contacts between Russia and Turkey would not worsen Ukrainian-Turkish relations, but the resumption of the Turkish Stream project is in conflict of the interests of not only Ukraine, but also the whole of Europe.
"Economic cooperation between Turkey and Russia in many areas will be restored. At least one project being discussed now is in conflict with the interests of not only Ukraine, but also Europe. This is Turkish Stream [the gas pipeline from Russia to the European part of Turkey and then to the targeted markets of Central and Southern Europe]," he said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
