KIEV, Aug. 11 – The Russian military is strengthening its positions in areas near Donetsk in the direction of Sloviansk, as well as rotating intelligence units, the Main Directorate of Intelligence (MDI) for Ukraine's army has said.

According to a post on MDI's website on Thursday morning, a motorized infantry battalion of the 3rd Independent Motorized Infantry Brigade (based in Horlivka), 1st Army Corps of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, was spotted in the Sloviansk direction near Zaitseve; near Holmovsky, a tank company from the 3rd Independent Motorized Rifle Brigade, a firing platoon (2 self-propelled tracked artillery vehicles) of the self-propelled artillery division of the Independent Artillery Brigade (Donetsk), 1st Army Corps of armed forces of the Russian Federation.
