KIEV, Aug. 9 – The largest bank in Ukraine – PrivatBank (Dnipro) – believes that accusations of embezzling over UAH 19 billion of refinancing funds issued by the National Bank of Ukraine against some managers of the bank are groundless, the bank told Interfax-Ukraine.
"Information [even about the possibility of withdrawing NBU's refinancing funds anywhere) is not true. Suspicions that the bank used refinancing funds to carry out any transactions, apart from return of deposits, are groundless. According to the NBU's requirements, the above-mentioned resources were used only to cover outflow of individuals' funds," the bank said.
