KIEV, July 29 - Real wages in Ukraine increased by 17.3% year-on-year in June, and by 7.2% from May, the State Statistics Service reported.
The average wage of regular workers in Ukraine in June 2016 year-over-year increased by 24.1% year-on-year, while compared to May 2016 wages grew by 7.1%, reaching UAH 5,337 (UAH 4,984 in May, UAH 4,895 in April and UAH 4,920 in March).
According to its data, real wages in June 2016 year-over-year grew in Lviv (30%), Zakarpattia (29.4%), Kherson (29%), Zhytomyr (27.6%), Odessa (27.2%), Cherkasy (26.9%), Volyn and Ivano-Frankivsk (26.8% each), Kiev (26.2%), Ternopil (25.5%), Kirovohrad (23.9%) and Mykolaiv (23%) regions. In Donetsk and Luhansk regions wages grew by 17.8% and 37.5% respectively.
