KIEV, July 15 – The National Bank of Ukraine has changed the order of individual licensing of currency operations by introducing, among other things, obstacles to legal withdrawal of capital from the country by individuals who are hiding from the authorities.
The decision is fixed by NBU resolution No. 353 of July 12: the changes will take effect from July 14.
"To prevent non-productive capital outflows from Ukraine, the National Bank has provided an additional reason to refuse issuing individual licenses to persons, hiding from the bodies of preliminary investigation, court or authorities [according to data from the Interior Ministry]," reads the report.
