KIEV, July 14 – Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has proposed starting January 1, 2017 to exempt from imports duty and value added tax (VAT) for energy saving equipment and materials that are not made in Ukraine imported to the country for own needs is annulled via amending the Tax and Customs Codes.

Relevant bills have been posted on the website of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry.

According to an explanatory note to the documents, today imperfect legislation regulation of customs and tax benefits for imports of energy saving equipment has not brought desired results.
