KIEV, July 7 – Members of parliament from Oleh Liashko's Radical Party and Yulia Tymoshenko's Batkivschyna Party have announced a sit-down strike.

"We've switching over to another form of protest. We won't be fighting in here… We announce a sit-down strike, Liashko said while reading out a statement by the two parties' parliamentary factions on Thursday morning.

According to Liashko, the factions hope that the temporary investigative commission on tariffs and temporary parliamentary commission on investigation of curruption cases and offshore scandal would be established. They also demand that the coalition adopt laws that will allow reducing tariffs for housing and communal services.
