KIEV, July 7 – Russia quoted an attractive price for its natural gas in the third quarter, but Gazprom’s refusal to amend a gas contract means Ukraine won’t be able to buy it, Andriy Kobolev, the head of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, said Thursday.

Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller last week quoted the price of $167.5/1,000 cu m for the Russian gas for Ukraine in the third quarter. After adjusting the price to actual caloric value, the price will probably increase to at least 172/1,000 cu m.
