Judicial reforms passed by Rada are insufficient but needed, EBA says
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, June 3 – The mechanisms for securing independence of judges outlined in the judicial reform passed by Parliament are insufficient but the reform is needed, the European Business Association said.

The effective judicial reform is the backbone of economic growth and prosperity of the state. It is a tool for protecting legal rights and interests of Ukrainian and foreign investors. It would be a guarantee of arrival of fresh investment to Ukraine. It would also help to restore public and business confidence in the entire judicial system, EBA said in a statement, commenting on the approval of bill No. 3524 amending the Constitution of Ukraine and No. 4734 on judicial system and status of judges passed by the Ukrainian parliament.
