KIEV, May 17 – A senior lawmaker from President Petro Poroshenko’s group in Parliament on Tuesday withdrew from an anti-corruption committee after his controversial political ties were exposed.

Volodymyr Ariev two years ago hired an assistant who appears to be the father of Ihor Kononenko, Poroshenko’s close ally who among others will be investigated by the committee for corruption allegations.
