KIEV, April 27 – The cost of an 'Easter basket' in 2016 will be some UAH 349, which is UAH 20 more than last year, Agrarian Economics Institute Director Yuriy Lupenko said.

"The small growth in the cost of the basket is mainly linked to late Easter when the prices of seasonal food fall as a rule," he said.

Scientists of the institute calculated that the most expensive food of the 'Easter basket' will be meat products: UAH 65 for a half kilogram of boiled salted pork (UAH 110-150 per kilogram) and UAH 61 for a half kilogram of home-made sausage (UAH 105-104 per kilogram).
