KIEV, April 27 – U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland, meeting with Ukrainian MPs, denied reports that the United States was pushing for specific dates for elections in disputed Donbas.
"Reports about my meeting with Rada representatives yesterday were completely inaccurate. We have put no date on when elections need to happen. We have made absolutely clear that [the] Minsk [Agreements] requires that there be sufficient security and OSCE access and the ability of candidates to ballot and the ability of citizens to hear from candidates before we can have an election. That's what Minsk says. It's logical, as in any country," Nuland said at an open press conference in Kiev on Wednesday.
