KIEV, April 22 – The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has explained that the criminal cases against former Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka, his former deputy Renat Kuzmin, former head of the Security Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Yakymenko and former head of the National Bank of Ukraine Ihor Sorkin have been suspended due to the fact that these people are hiding from justice, but their cases have not been closed.
"Reports have appeared in the media that these cases have been dropped... Firstly, I guarantee that the cases against Pshonka, Kuzmin, Sorkin and Yakymenko have not been closed and will not be closed," prosecutor of the Prosecutor General's Office Vladyslav Kutsenko said at a briefing in Kiev.
