KIEV, April 22 - Ukraine completed the unloading of spent nuclear fuel from reactor two of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant on April 21, Ecology and Natural Resources Minister Ostap Semerak said.
"Now this fuel is being kept in special canisters and will be delivered to a temporary storage site shortly. The reactors of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant have been fully freed from nuclear fuel and are being brought in a condition which has much fewer risks. The works have been fulfilled up to the highest ecological safety standards," he said.
