BUCHAREST, April 21 – President Petro Poroshenko suggested Thursday that Romania may use Ukraine’s underground gas storage facilities and infrastructure for storing natural gas during the winter.
Ukraine also wants as soon as possible to build interconnecting pipelines with Romania that would allow greater imports of European gas, he said.
“We should speed up an agreement on interconnectors between our gas transportation systems,” Poroshenko said at a press conference in Bucharest. “Romania will become another country from which Ukraine is able to import gas.”
