KIEV, April 20 - Ukraine will not seek talks with Russia over natural gas prices until after a ruling by the Stockholm court later this year, Ihor Nasalyk, the newly appointed energy and coal industry minister, said Wednesday.
“There won’t be any talks until the Stockholm litigation is over,” Nasalyk told reporters.
The comment shows a reversal in the government’s policy after reshuffle of the Cabinet last week. The previous energy and coal industry minister, Volodymyr Demchyshyn, was seeking the talks with Russia to try to lower Russian gas prices in the second quarter.
