KIEV, April 18 – Minister for Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Vadym Chernysh said that the newly created ministry will quickly start working. He said the staff of the Agency for the Restoration of Donbas he headed earlier will form the core of the ministry.

"Its basis is staff from the agency. We will start working at once and will gradually expand, of course, taking into account the fact that the law on civil service on May 1. The procedure is clearly described: the creation of the post of state secretary, staff tenders and other things. We will act quickly," Chernysh said in an interview with the Ukrainian weekly newspaper Dzerkalo Tyzhnia.
Asked if the Agency for the Restoration of Donbas on April 14 automatically became ministry, he replied affirmatively, adding that Crimea was added, as well as territories that are not under control of the Ukrainian government, the contact line, humanitarian assistance and IDPs.
