KRAMATORSK, April 18 - The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) seeks to raise around $3 million in the next two years for humanitarian programs in Ukraine, said Pavlo Zamostian, deputy head of the representative office of UNFPA in Ukraine.
"Our expectations are over $3 million. We need these funds for 2016-2017. We hope that donors will response. As every UN agency we depend on financing from donor states. Governments provide aid through such organizations as our. We have experience in introducing projects and trained staff, as well as the possibility of quickly and transparently buying medicines. Our Fund as a global organization has direct contracts with manufacturers and this helps buying medicines and expendable goods at the prices that are lower than market prices," he told Interfax-Ukraine.
