KIEV, April 12 – The total assets of credit unions in Ukraine as of December 31, 2015 decreased by 11.7% compared to the same date in 2014, to UAH 2.064 billion, according to the website of the National Commission for the Regulation of Financial Services Markets.

At the same time, the number of credit unions in the state register of financial institutions by the year end decreased by 0.2% (one unit), to 588. The number of credit union members fell by 6.9%, to 764,600 people, the number of members with acting loan agreements by 13.1%, to 162,200 persons, members with contributions on deposit accounts by 15.9%, to 26,500 persons.
