KIEV, April 11 – U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt and Kharkiv Regional Governor Ihor Rainin have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at expanding and deepening trade and investment ties, as well as developing cooperation in the field of science, technology, social and humanitarian spheres, according to the embassy.

"Kharkiv is known for its scientific, technical, academic and research communities. I am pleased to join Governor Rainin in signing a memorandum of understanding, which will further strengthen our already reliable cooperation with Kharkiv region, which will help create more and better jobs, as well as promote diverse economic opportunities," Pyatt said during memorandum signing at the U.S. Embassy in Kiev.
