KIEV, April 8 - The armed conflict in Donbas has caused 1.5 million Ukrainians to face the threat of hunger, according to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP).
"Two years of conflict in eastern Ukraine led to the fact that 1.5 million Ukrainians faced the threat of hunger. Some 300,000 people are experiencing severe food shortages and are in need of urgent assistance," the UN News Center reported.
The report notes that the WFP intends in the first half of this year on a monthly basis to provide help to 270,000 people from the most vulnerable categories of the population.
