KIEV, April 5 – Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Ministry has pointed out violations of some WTO rules following a probe conducted by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) into supplies of Ukrainian rods to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) members.
"The anti-dumping investigation was conducted in violation of some provisions of the WTO Agreement on applying Article VI of GATT 1994. This would not be left without attention of Ukraine, particularly, in part of the terms of the investigation and proofs of dumping and causing damage to the industrial sector of the EEU member countries. After consultations the Economic Development and Trade Ministry with Ukrainian producers the decision on Ukraine's steps on the issue will be made," the ministry said in a press release on Monday.
