KIEV, March 22 – Gross grain crop harvest in Ukraine during the 2016-2017 agricultural year could be 56.8 million tons, 2.8 million tons less than last year, according to projections of the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club.
UCAB President Taras Vysotsky said in Kiev on Tuesday that the decline is mainly linked to the decrease in wheat production. Wheat planted areas were narrowed due unfavorable weather conditions during the autumn sowing campaign.
