KIEV, March 23 – The cost of the spring 2016 crop planting campaign will total UAH 90.1 billion, up 34% year-over-year, the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club reported.

UCAB Director General Taras Vysotsky said in Kiev on Tuesday that the increase in the cost of the crop planting campaign is prompted by hryvnia devaluation and the increase in the cost of imported resources by 24% compared to spring 2015. It is also linked to the 20% rise in rent rates and the expansion of spring crop planting areas by 1.6 million ha.
