KIEV, March 21 - Mindaugas Bakas has won a tender to become chairman of the National Depository of Ukraine (NDU, the central depository), announced Oleksandr Panchenko, head of the selection panel and a member of the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market of Ukraine.

Bakas has been chief of Lithuania's central depository since January 2012. Earlier he headed the market development department at Nasdaq OMX in Vilnius. In addition, Bakas runs depository servicing divisions in Lithuanian banks Swedbank and SEB bankas.
