KIEV, March 17 – Bulgaria and Turkey are seeking to start imports of European natural gas via Ukrainian gas pipelines, Ihor Prokopiv, the head of the state-owned UkrTransGaz, said Thursday.

Both countries currently import most of their gas needs from Russia.

“Both, Bulgaria and Turkey, are ready to buy European gas via the Ukrainian territory,” Prokopiv said at a press conference.
