KIEV, Feb. 22 ??“ Foreign direct investments (FDIs) hit a record high of more than $7.3 bln in Ukraine in 2005, which was up 4.7 times up on 2004, the State Statistics Committee reported on Tuesday.

The overall amount of FDIs in Ukraine was reported at $16.4 bln as of Jan. 1, which was 81% up on the figure registered by Jan. 1, 2005, the committee said. The FDI is at $349 per capita, the committee said.
