KIEV, Jan. 28 – Parliament today approved the request of the Prosecutor General's Office for the criminal prosecution, detention and arrest of independent MP Serhiy Kliuyev.

On June 3, Parliament stripped Kliuyev of his parliamentary immunity and gave its consent to his prosecution. He is suspected of committing crimes under Part 4 of Article 191 (fraud), Part 5 of Article 191 (embezzlement of property via abuse of office), Part 2 of Article 364 (abuse of power or office) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
