KIEV, Jan. 26 – Metal companies in Ukraine are competitive in the quality and cash cost of metal products they make, although they have large expenses on transportation due to high tariffs set by state monopolists, Metinvest CEO Yuriy Ryzhenkov said on Ukraina TV.
He said that the key rivals of Ukraine on foreign markets are Turkey, Russia, China, Brazil and Australia, and Ukrainian enterprises successfully compete with them. However, logistic expenses are permanently growing due to the increase of tariffs by monopolists, and the state is to have a comprehensive approach to the sector and the economy in general.
