KIEV, Jan. 25 - Masaru Tanaca, a banking expert from Japan, has been appointed an advisor to Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko and in his new position Tanaca will be advising the Finance Ministry on strengthening and restructuring of the banking sector, the ministry announced on its website.

"Tanaca’s work in Ukraine was agreed under the bilateral agreement between Ukraine and Japan on technical cooperation. His work in Ukraine is supported by the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation (JICA)," the ministry said.
